Would you like to proceed with your divorce proceedings using mediation, but feel you can't handle the emotional stress of meeting face to face with your spouse? Do you like the idea of participating in divorce settlement negotiations with your spouse from the comfort of your own home or office? Are you anxious to commence your divorce, but unable to meet with an attorney or mediator because of the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you will want to know about the availability of online options for handling your divorce proceedings. At Breer Law Offices we now offer our clients the option of conducting all mediation sessions using a Zoom meeting platform. Our online platform allows you to see your mediator and your spouse on your computer screen. Your mediator is able to share important documents and forms that you and your spouse can both see on your computer screen even though you are not physically in the same room. If you are using other divorce professionals to assist you in your mediation process, like a financial consultant or co-parenting expert, these professionals can also easily join your online mediation sessions, if desired.
The Zoom program is free and easy to learn. You will need a computer that has a camera feature build-in and you will find that most computers have these cameras, or you can purchase an inexpensive camera ($30-$60) that will allow your older computer to have the camera function. You also will want to make sure that you have a place where you can have a private Zoom meeting without interruptions. We are available to assist you with the set up and launch of the Zoom meeting platform on your computer.
If you would like to schedule an initial consultation to learn more about our new on-line mediation programs please contact Breer Law Offices to schedule an initial consultation via Zoom for you and your spouse.
